Ocean Catalyst
FOMARES and SeaLegacy, with the support of Proyectos Públicos, are leading Ocean Catalyst: a platform for dialogue,articulation,awareness-raising,and advocacy around Mexico's seas and coasts,which brings together actors and voices from different sectors to build conversations and proposals that elevate the relevance of the Environmental Agenda and transform conversation into concrete strategies and proposals for Mexico's seas and coasts,contributing to positioning the country as a benchmark of environmental leadership.
The process culminates on March 17,2027 with the Ocean Catalyst Summit and the Catalyzer Gala,as a meeting point and convergence point for the platform.

FOMARES is a conservation organization dedicated to protecting and restoring oceans and coastlines, as well as addressing challenges and opportunities in projects linked to environmental sustainability through science, education, public policy, and community collaboration. It represents the conviction that healthy seas are essential for life on Earth and works to bridge the gap between scientific research, environmental action, and public awareness.
We believe the ocean is a solution for humanity’s shared challenges, therefore FOMARES is set to close the financial gap between available resources and those needed to promote the establishment and operation of MPAs and to protect biodiversity as well as restore the ecological balance in ocean.
