The imbalance is striking: a single industrial vessel can catch in one night what entire communities harvest in a year. Despite this, artisanal fishers remain deeply knowledgeable about and committed to caring for the sea, as their survival depends on it. To continue fostering dialogue and participation, the project requires resources to visit and engage fishing communities, ensuring that every voice is heard and included in the design and management of the protected area.
