Mexico League of Conservation Photographers by FOMARES
FOMARES League of Conservation Photographers is a community of photographers committed to the conservation of Mexico’s nature, both on land and at sea. Our goal is to tell stories that raise awareness, inspire action, and protect the country’s unique biodiversity through powerful images taken in an ethical manner.
It is a community driven initiative dedicated to environmental protection, supported by photographer and conservationist Cristina Mittermeier, who is also an ambassador of FOMARES. In this community visual creators connect, collaborate, and amplify their work to drive real change for nature, the life it sustains, and its protection.

How It Works
How To Join
Protecting Mexico through the power of images
Send a portfolio of 12–20 conservation-oriented photographs, a brief statement (maximum 200 words) about your motivation and impact, and a short bio/cv to: contacto@fomares.org. The editorial committee will review the applications together with Cristina Mittermeier and a response will be given within two weeks.
We invite photographers, filmmakers, civil society, and strategic allies to join the League of Conservation Photographers of FOMARES and to use the image as a bridge between science, communities, and public awareness.
